The Nursing Service and is divided into three (3) sectors in subdivisional level. Each Nursing Sector is structured in Nursing Departments, as follows:
- 1st NURSING SECTOR divided into 5 departments , covering the Pathology Sector of the Medical Service.
- 2nd NURSING SECTOR divided into 5 departments , covering the Surgical Sector and Surgery.
- 3rd NURSING SECTOR divided into 4 departments covering the Laboratory Sector, the Mental Health Sector, the Outpatient Clinics and Intersectoral Departments of the Medical Service.
A Nursing Committee is consisted at the Hospital which comprises of:
- The Head of the Nursing Service, as Chairman
- One (1) Department head from each nursing sector.
- One (1) Department nurse from each nursing sector.
The responsibilities of the Nursing Service are defined as follows:
a. Providing nursing care to patients, according to the rules and teachings of Nursing Science under the guidance of those responsible in each case doctors.
b. The promotion and advancement of nursing science, continuing education, training and research in this field.
c. The planning and control of personnel and provided services.
d. Compliance with the operating principles of the hospital as defined by legal provisions, the internal rules of the hospital and the decisions of the Board and of the Director.
e. Cooperation with other hospital services.
f. Responsibility for updating, maintenance and storage of patients’ hospital records, together with the Medical Service.
g. The administrative audit (recording input of all kinds of materials and medicines, distribution and consumption) of the hospital departments.
h. The organization, planning and implementation of nursing actions.
